since i got back from my vagabond vagrant adventure on the mainland where i thumbed my way up and down the east coast of australia and inland NSW, the murray river and the south coast between adelaide and melbourne (which was awesome fun), life's been kina dominated by negatives mainly stemming from cash, realestate and conflicting personalities. anyway living in south hobart was shite mainly because of the company, the location, and the neighbors. unfortunately i've had to move back to my folks house don't have to pay for rent but i have to put up with my parents judgment, i'd prefer to pay rent.
looked at a place deeper in south hobart like up the hill from the brewery the other day, baddass lil location, there's like a rabit warrens of tracks going up into the foothills of the mountain and through to surrounding bushside suburbs, bit outa the way but not as much as where i am now. got my fingers crossed on this one.
took way way way too many mushies 3 weekends back had the most epic trip, saw the craziest shit, my mind collapsed in on itself and i completely and totally lost touch with reality and it turned into a waking nightmare where i got crucified to the pavement, froze to death in canada, became a tree/fox spirit who was a non intravenous god of the forest observing the seasons year in year out and saw them change consecutively faster, yelled at the moon and saw the dimentional rift coming down to greet me coming closer and closer with each roar, saw the thing that binds us together as a species, i saw my hands shrivel up and rot away, people where fighting around me, ran into oncoming traffic trying to get hit by cars, climbed into one of them, got arrested, the paddywaggon was hell, it filled up with water and it was as voilent as the sea, saw out the window the streets of melbourne rushing past and then it went into outer space. by the end of it all i don't know what was real and what wasn't. never again.
making headway with the music i've got the sampler and the drum machine talking to each other through midi, and i'm sequencing all these chopped up guitar riffs and string sounds s if they where drum breaks. sounds mega baddass. restring my guitars tomorrow, gunna try some different tuning styles including drop c, as well as experiment with the ultimate power chord configeration, d, d+, a, a+, d+, d++ i have no idea how this is gunna sound it'll be one or the other, mega baddass, or just plain wrong. got a gig offer for the 14th, working on new material so hopefully will be able to play some of that at the gig if we can get our act together in time to play the new stuff. it's kinda more rock/metal riff heavy with bigger beats and glitchier noises, maybe even do a cover of march of the pigs by nin or irresponsible hate anthem by manson, or ringfinger by nin.
